Full Stack Java Developer (Bournemouth)

Role: Full Stack Java Developer Start: January 2026 Duration: 12 months (inside IR35) Location: Bournemouth (Hybrid) This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading Tier 1 global investment bank on a large-scale technology programme. Overview We are supporting a premier investment banking client with an urgent requirement for multiple Full Stack Java Developers to join a high-performing engineering team in Bournemouth. The programme is long-term, business-critical, and offers exposure to complex enterprise-scale systems. The Role The client is seeking a blend of Senior/Lead-level and Mid–Senior Full Stack Java Developers to support the design, development, and enhancement of core platforms. You will work closely with engineering, architecture, and product teams to deliver robust, scalable solutions. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Java-based applications • Build and enhance microservices using Spring Boot • Contribute across the full software development lifecycle • Collaborate with front-end developers using ReactJS where required • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code • Participate in code reviews and technical discussions • Support production issues and continuous improvement initiatives • Senior/Lead-level candidates will also provide technical guidance and mentoring Required Skills & Experience • Strong Core Java development experience (essential) • Full Stack experience including exposure to ReactJS • Advanced experience with Spring / Spring Boot • A mix of Full Stack and Core Java specialists can be considered Seniority split: • Senior / Lead level: 7–10 years’ experience • Mid–Senior level: 4–6 years’ experience
