Job Description: As the Founding Engineer, you will lead the technical direction as the first full-time engineering hire. You’ll architect and build core systems, experiment rapidly to drive product–market fit, and leverage advanced AI tooling to combat global scams—making a tangible impact on a mission-driven, high-growth company. What you will do: Design, implement, and refactor robust database schemas and multi-API services, ensuring scalability and cost optimisation. Architect and build systems with a pragmatic approach, balancing clean-code longevity with rapid experimentation for product–market fit. Leverage agentic coding tools and cutting-edge AI to drive innovation in a fast-paced startup environment. The ideal candidate: Has 5–10 years of hands-on software engineering experience, including at least 2 years in a startup environment. Is fluent in Python and TypeScript/JavaScript, with a strong, competent full-stack engineering skillset. Holds a Master’s degree in a technical discipline (e.g., software engineering or computer science) and is a grounded AI optimist with a builder mentality.
