Purpose Keep the hire fleet safe, compliant, and available for customers by carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on plant, vehicles, and equipment. Key Accountabilities Service and repair plant equipment, excavators and dumpers to manufacturer standards Diagnose faults (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic) quickly and accurately Maintain legal compliance (safety inspections, service records) Prioritise urgent breakdowns to minimise downtime Plan and carry out scheduled servicing to reduce reactive repairs Maintain accurate service records and parts usage logs Work collaboratively with the team to ensure equipment goes out safe and reliable Take responsibility for workshop condition, tools, and safety Expectations Experience in plant/vehicle maintenance Able to work independently and take ownership of outcomes Customer-focused: recognises downtime as lost revenue Flexible to cover occasional call-outs or seasonal peaks Proactive in flagging recurring faults and suggesting improvements What’s in it for me?
