As a Financial Data and Reporting Analyst, you will leverage your analytical expertise and technical skills to manage, reconcile, and interpret data across diverse systems, products, and customer accounts. This role demands a sharp eye for detail, proficiency in SQL and Excel, and a passion for uncovering the narrative behind the numbers.
Key Responsibilities
- Support cost management initiatives and special projects
- Assist in complex financial audits and reconciliations
- Monitor, analyze, and report on cost-related data across platforms
- Use SQL (Intermediate level required) to build custom datasets from multiple sources
- Manage and analyze both structured and unstructured data
- Extract and synthesize data from large datasets and data lakes for advanced analysis
- Maintain and update Phoenix reports (tracking, fallouts, resolutions)
- Oversee disputes/claims reporting (submissions, status updates, closures, credits)
- Maintain daily collections reports, including legal placements and reconciliations
- Create and update retail reserve reports with detailed summaries
- Contribute to the development and documentation of cost accounting workflows and procedures
- Serve as Phoenix system administrator and assist IT with system audits
- Provide ad hoc financial and operational analysis to support strategic decisions
- Track spend commitments and performance metrics
- Conduct billing reconciliation projects (e.g., identifying mismatches between billing and cost data)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Analytics, Data Science, or related field
- 7 years of relevant experience
- Required: Intermediate proficiency in SQL and Excel
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities
- Strong attention to detail, curiosity, accountability, and a solid work ethic
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
- Experience with Power BI and Tableau preferred
- Background in Cost Accounting is a plus
