Key Responsibilities Design and Implement Safeguarding Methods: Develop and maintain robust safeguarding frameworks to ensure compliance with local and EU regulations for EMI and API licenses. Manage Safeguarding Reconciliations: Oversee daily and periodic reconciliations between safeguarded accounts and customer funds, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Monitor Minimum Net Worth Requirements: Track and report on capital adequacy and minimum net worth requirements as per regulatory obligations for EMI and API licenses. Regulatory Reporting & Audit Support: Prepare and submit safeguarding-related reports to regulators; liaise with auditors during annual safeguarding audits. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks related to safeguarding processes and ensure robust internal controls. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with compliance, treasury, and operations teams to ensure safeguarding processes align with business objectives and regulatory standards. Qualifications & Skills Education: Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, ACA, CFA) preferred. Experience: Minimum 5+ years in finance roles within payments, fintech, or regulated financial institutions. Hands-on experience with safeguarding processes and reconciliations. Familiarity with EMI/API regulatory frameworks in Europe. Skills: Strong analytical and reconciliation skills. Excellent understanding of capital adequacy and regulatory reporting. Proficiency in financial systems and Excel. Attention to detail and ability to work under regulatory deadlines.
