File Handling Assistant Department: Legal Employment Type: Permanent - Full Time Location: Leeds Description Are you highly organised, detail-oriented, and eager to support a dynamic claims handling team? In this role, you’ll play a key part in assisting our Pre-Lit Casualty claims teams with a variety of essential tasks. From monitoring the MOJ Portal and managing inboxes to maintaining accurate data and onboarding new projects, you’ll help ensure smooth operations and exceptional service delivery. You’ll also take ownership of CRU tasks, complete new claim actions, and proactively chase updates via phone and email. This position offers the opportunity to manage a caseload of low-value property damage claims while maintaining compliance with client SLAs and delivering high-quality standards. Key Accountabilities To pro-actively assist the Pre Lit teams with a variety of tasks including: Monitoring MOJ Portal Monitoring inboxes and actioning appropriately Maintaining, reviewing and actioning spreadsheets Completing new claim actions to support the claims handlers Actioning CRU post and ownership of CRU tasks Completing chaser tasks on files to support the claims handlers via telephone and email Raising low value payments Assisting with training as and when required Onboarding run-off work on various projects Undertaking appropriate additional tasks provided by the Team Leader/DBUD Maintain accurate data on relevant case management system Comply with set client SLA’s To actively manage a caseload of low value property damage claims Ensure quality service standards and productivity levels are maintained to a high standard Experience, Skills and Qualifications 12 months relevant admin / claims support experience Excellent attention to detail Strong organisational skills Good communication & telephone skills Able to use Excel Excellent client care and customer service skills Ability to manage volume workload via task management Ability to work as a team and independently Benefits Davies Incentive Plan 25 days holiday per year which increases with level of service (opportunity to buy & sell 3 days) Simply Health Care Cash Plan WeCare – 24/7 online GP, mental health support and virtual wellbeing covering a whole host of topics to do with health, mental health, wellbeing & healthy living and financial & legal wellbeing Death In Service – after 1 years’ service Pension Contribution based 5% Employee / 3% Employer Employee Resource Groups Employee Volunteering Programme Cycle to Work Scheme* Tech Scheme* Season Ticket Loan* Gym Flex* Access to Online Discount Sites Discounted Gourmet Society Membership Discounted Tickets for Merlin Attractions nationwide Discounts at local retail outlets *after successfully completing probation
