This role provides an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic field services team focused on delivering cutting-edge smart home technology solutions. As a technician, you will perform installations, maintenance, and service visits while providing excellent customer support. You will interact directly with clients, leveraging both technical skills and sales aptitude to maximize service opportunities. The position combines hands-on work, travel within the local region, and the flexibility of home dispatch. You will receive comprehensive training and ongoing coaching while contributing to the creation of safer, smarter, and more connected homes.

Accountabilities

  • Install, maintain, and service smart home products and technology systems at client homes.
  • Conduct safety analyses during each visit to ensure secure and compliant work environments.
  • Deliver expert customer support, addressing technical questions and resolving issues effectively.
  • Identify opportunities to offer additional products or services, enhancing client experience and generating revenue.
  • Maintain accurate service records, documentation, and communication with dispatch and team members.
  • Operate company-provided vehicles, tools, and technology to complete assignments efficiently.
  • Follow established procedures and safety protocols at all times while performing field work.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications preferred.
  • Previous experience in field services, home technology, installations, or related technical roles.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills with a professional, courteous demeanor.
  • Sales experience in retail, B2C, insurance, or related fields is an asset.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift up to 45 lbs, climb ladders, work in attics or confined spaces, and remain on feet for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working independently and within a team, adaptable to varying schedules.
  • Coachable, motivated, and eager to learn new technical skills.
