As a Federal Advisory Systems Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping technology solutions for federal customers, bridging the gap between advanced systems and practical implementation. You will provide pre-sales technical guidance, develop detailed architectures, and influence key stakeholders across IT and operational teams. Working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, you will analyze emerging trends, recommend solutions, and ensure interoperability across complex systems. Your expertise will support critical decision-making and enable the delivery of innovative, secure, and scalable telecommunications and IT solutions. This role offers opportunities to mentor, collaborate cross-functionally, and make a tangible impact on mission-critical initiatives.

Accountabilities:

  • Provide pre-sales technical support to field sales teams, helping define comprehensive solutions using a full range of products and services.
  • Build and communicate account technology plans, including future state architectures, tactical initiatives, and technology solutions aligned with business objectives.
  • Research and communicate industry and market trends, advising customers on technology application and best practices.
  • Maintain expertise in storage, virtualization, multi-cloud, security, and application development solutions.
  • Develop installation and system integration plans, ensuring seamless implementation and customer satisfaction.
  • Engage with CIOs, enterprise architects, application owners, and development teams to influence decision-making and drive solution adoption.
  • Mentor clients and internal teams on technology trends, ITSM, and DevOps practices.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in solution selling, system implementation, or architecture within vendor, partner, customer, or service provider environments.
  • Strong ability to engage and influence key stakeholders across technical and business functions.
  • Knowledge of ITIL, TOGAF, or similar enterprise architecture frameworks and certifications.
  • Understanding of VMware, multi-cloud environments, security frameworks, and application development processes.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and mentoring skills.

Preferred:

  • Senior-level sales engineer experience with complex technology products and services.
  • 12+ years of field sales, advisory, or relationship selling experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant technical discipline.
