Duration: 6 Month Fixed Term Contract - 3 days part time Location: Oxford/London Role Purpose: Due to a sustained increase in the volume of business-critical events, we are seeking an Event Marketing Assistant to provide dedicated operational support across event marketing activities. This role focuses on the execution elements of event communications, including copy preparation, marketing automation, workflow management, and data handling. The position is essential to ensuring that events are delivered at scale, on time, and to brand and compliance standards. While individual tasks may appear discrete, the cumulative volume, attention to detail, and coordination required make this a workload-intensive role. What you'll be doing: Event Marketing & Communications * Upload approved copy into marketing systems and prepare communications for deployment. * Coordinate the scheduling and delivery of invitations, follow-ups, reminders, and other event-related communications. Marketing Automation & Workflows * Create and manage automations for each event. * Build and maintain lists, tags, and workflows to support event communications. * Conduct first-round testing of automations to ensure accuracy and functionality prior to launch. * Monitor live workflows and resolve issues as they arise. Data Management & Compliance * Pull and gather event invitation lists from internal sources. * Clean, prepare, and upload data following sign-off from designated approvers. * Segment and split lists as required (e.g., registered vs. non-registered attendees). * Monitor responses and ensure contacts are routed into the correct workflows throughout the event lifecycle. * Maintain high standards of data accuracy to support GDPR compliance and external-facing brand communications. Inbox & Stakeholder Support * Manage the MBD and Event inboxes. * Respond to enquiries where appropriate or escalate as needed. Governance & Sign-Off * Final copy and data sign-off will remain with senior stakeholders * The role is responsible for ensuring all materials and data are correctly prepared for review and approval. What you will bring: * Strong written communication skills, with the ability to produce high volumes of accurate, on-brand copy. * High attention to detail, particularly in data handling and automation setup. * Experience with email marketing platforms, CRM systems, and marketing automation tools. * Ability to manage repetitive, detail-oriented tasks at scale without loss of quality. * Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple events concurrently. * Understanding of GDPR principles and data governance in a marketing context.
