Join us at our brand-new retirement village in West Byfleet as an Estates Supervisor, where you’ll lead a team and personally contribute to keeping our village facilities and grounds in top condition for our residents. As Estates Supervisor, you will manage a team of estates operatives while actively delivering hands-on maintenance and grounds work. Your mission: ensure all buildings, fixtures, equipment, and outdoor spaces are attractive, safe, and enjoyable for residents, customers, and visitors. Key Responsibilities Organise and oversee estates operations, including maintenance schedules, grounds upkeep, and equipment management. Deliver hands-on support for general and specialist maintenance tasks. Test and maintain alarm systems; escalate specialist faults promptly. Collaborate with wider estates and facilities teams to ensure repairs are carried out efficiently, in-house or via third-party suppliers. Maintain landscaping and irrigation systems; ensure paths, roads, and public areas are safe and accessible year-round. Follow health and safety guidelines, including COSHH procedures, and respond appropriately to emergencies. Supervise, coach, and develop team members, ensuring high standards and adherence to regulations. Maintain external accreditations and keep up-to-date with industry best practices. Skills & Attributes Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to hold a team accountable. Excellent planning, organisational, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to build strong relationships with residents, colleagues, and external partners. Resilient, adaptable, and consistently delivers results under challenging circumstances. Financially aware with an understanding of how to deploy resources efficiently. Experience & Qualifications 1–3 years of job-related experience.
