Your Opportunity
We are seeking an Environmental Technician/Technologist to join our Water Resources Team. This position is based in our St. John’s, NL office and offers the opportunity for hands-on fieldwork across a variety of sites. You will be actively involved in water resources monitoring and sampling, including surface water and groundwater sampling, installation and maintenance of monitoring wells, water-level measurements, and water-quality assessments.
Fieldwork provides opportunities to experience the diverse terrain of Newfoundland and Labrador, including remote sites accessible by helicopter, and to participate in a wide range of projects, from large-scale industrial and infrastructure developments to smaller community-focused initiatives. While the position also includes office-based responsibilities such as data management, the majority of your time will be spent in the field.
This position may require the successful passing of a pre-access physical and drug screen.
Your Key Responsibilities
As an Environmental Technician/Technologist, your role will include a broad range of responsibilities related to hydrogeological and hydrological assessments, groundwater supply development and testing, and groundwater, surface water, and soil sampling programs.

Education and Experience
A Technician or Technologist Diploma is preferred; alternatively, a comparable mix of relevant education, training, and hands-on experience will be considered.
Minimum of three to five years of practical field experience in environmental field monitoring.
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
