Facilities Manager | Private Hospital | Full Time | Permanent | Southampton Spire Southampton Hospital is seeking a highly experienced and proactive Hospital Facilities Manager to lead our Estates and Engineering function you will also have oversight of Portering and Housekeeping services and the teams beneath. This is a key leadership role responsible for, ensuring compliance, safety, and operational excellence across the hospital site. If you have a strong background in engineering or building services, proven project management experience, and a passion for leading teams in a healthcare setting, we’d love to hear from you. Duties and Responsibilities: To ensure one best way and best practice in all aspects of engineering, housekeeping and portering To ensure hospital compliance with Spire’s Fire Policy To operate the maintenance, on a continuous basis, of the site buildings and equipment within the hospitals ensuring an efficient and safe maintenance and engineering service. To ensure the team reach and maintain an agreed level of engineering competency with development plans agreed to increase staff capability. To oversee the delivery of local engineering policies and their implementation To ensure hospital is compliant and adheres to all the regulatory requirements as per the Engineering Audit Maintain continual professional development across the team. Who We’re Looking For: Previous experience of working within a hospital is essential, minimum 5 years. A relevant background in electrical, plumbing, or building services engineering. Previous experience of working within a hospital or healthcare environment is an essential requirement of this role. Strong management experience essential. Previous experience in managing a team. Proven ability to lead and develop teams.
