This role is responsible for planning, modeling, and analysis of the distribution system across operational horizons. The incumbent will Executes grid modernization initiatives and supports strategic projects. KEY DUTIES * Conduct power system planning and reliability analysis. * Coordinate protection, control, and communication systems. * Maintain and troubleshoot SCADA, OMS, and engineering software. * Support DER integration, automation devices, and cybersecurity. * Prepare load forecasts and reliability reports. * Assist in developing and maintaining the Distribution System Master Plan. * Assist with inspections, maintenance, and capital planning. * Support the full life cycle of distribution automation devices (i.e., automated switches, reclosers, fault indicators, etc.). * Champion the latest developments in distribution system such as smart grid, microgrid, electrical vehicle charging, power system communications, SCADA, ADMS etc. *  Assists the Engineering, Operation and Metering departments with other duties, as required. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE * Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering * P.Eng. designation or eligible to register as a Professional Engineer in the province of Ontario *  3+ years in distribution sector, grid planning, and modernization preferred. * Experience in Load Flow and protection systems * Experience in SCADA an asset * Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
