Position #: 195135 Expected Start Date: October 15, 2025 Union: HSAS Facility: Kyle Health Centre City/Town: Kyle Department: Ambulance - Land Type: Part-time regular FTE: 0.75 Shift Information: Days, Nights, Evenings, Weekends, Standby Hours of Work: 112.00 hours per 4 week rotation Relief: No Float: No Field Hours: No Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Emergency Medical Technician $29.909 to $36.572 Travel Required: No Job Description: Reporting to the Manager or designate for the area of province they are working, the Emergency Medical Services - EMT/PCP responds to emergency and non-emergency events, and provides assessment, treatment and transportation of the ill or injured persons consistent with The Saskatchewan Ambulance Act and Regulations; Saskatchewan College of Paramedics (SCoP) Clinical Practice Protocols; The Paramedics Act and bylaws; and Saskatchewan health Authority (SHA) policies, procedures and work standards. Human Resources Exemption: No Education Primary Care Paramedic diploma (PCP) Licenses Valid Class 4 driver's license Other Education and Training Current CPR certification Basic Cardiac Life Support Certificate (BCLS) International Trauma Life Support Certificate (ITLS) Competencies Verbal communication skills Listening skills Written Communication Skills Basic - Interpersonal skills Knowledge and Abilities Ability to function effectively in high stress and in emergency situations Physically able to perform the duties of pre-hospital emergency care Ability to work independently and as a member of a team Ability to operate emergency vehicles safely and effectively Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office programs (Word/Excel/Outlook) Able to safely and consistently lift/load stretcher on a regular basis Demonstrates the ability to be resourceful and to adapt to changing conditions Ability to be resilient Knowledge of EMS Practitioners legislation/protocols/scope of practice Familiar with the SK Ministry of Health Ambulance Information System. Must be able to respond to the ambulance within 10 minutes when on-call Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement
