Electronics Engineer Application Deadline: 11 January 2026 Department: Wind Tunnel System Employment Type: Permanent Location: Silverstone Reporting To: Mathew Almond Description At the heart of our aerodynamic development lies one of the most advanced wind tunnel facilities in motorsport. We’re seeking a talented Electronics Engineer to contribute to the design, development, and optimisation of the electronic and control systems that power our aerodynamic testing capability. This is a hands-on technical role, applying your expertise in embedded systems, firmware, and LabVIEW software to enable precise model control, real-time data acquisition and reliable performance. Working closely with colleagues across engineering disciplines, you’ll help ensure our wind tunnel continues to deliver accuracy, consistency, and speed when it matters most. Key Responsibilities Development, maintenance, and support of new and existing electronic/electrical assemblies. Develop and enhance firmware for electronic assemblies. Development of LabView software for the test & calibration rigs, wind tunnel model and subsystems, ensuring efficient data acquisition and processing. Assist with development of harnesses/wiring looms. Assist with data analysis and troubleshooting to identify and resolve faults. Support the production of electronic assemblies, including ordering BOM components and commissioning new modules. Document design processes, modifications, and testing procedures to maintain clear and accurate records. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electronic systems with mechanical components and software, support for the development of new sensors/sensing techniques. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Experience of analogue and digital electronic design, schematic capture, PCB layout and processes involved with unit development/production. Experience of developing microcontroller systems for sensor data acquisition and processing. Experience in developing and debugging unit firmware. Experience using LabVIEW & NI hardware for developing control and monitoring systems. Knowledge of sensor design & signal conditioning interface designs. Knowledge of harness/loom design and assembly practices. Be proficient in the use of word processing, spreadsheet and drawing software packages. Benefits Investing in your career is paramount.
