Job Details Undertake Planned Routine Maintenance to columns, signs, bollards and other lighting installations The investigation and repairing of faults on electrical street furniture e.g. replacement of lamps lanterns, lamp holders, fuses, photocells/ clock, capacitor, ignitor, transformer / choke and replacement of damaged wiring etc The investigation and repairing of group faults e.g. cable faults, control panel faults etc. Carry out initial investigation of Scottish Power faults and prepare report for technical staff to contact Scottish Power. Assist Roadworkers with cable laying and column erection for new installations. Carry out the installation of lanterns and brackets, including internal wiring and termination of supply cabling for new and replacement installations. Testing and commissioning of new installations and alterations to existing installations, record results on appropriate test forms. You will be required to take part in our emergency standby on a rota basis.
