We are looking for a dedicated Early Years Educator, to support children with SEND needs. This role will require you (but not limited) to: follow SEN/IEPs and EHCPs to meet the needs of individual children create a safe, stimulation and purposeful experience, environment and resources for children, that are appropriate to the age and stage of their development oversee children’s development, care needs and build strong family connections understand and ensure that the requirements of the Statutory Framework for the EYFS are met. Desirable attributes and qualifications: we are looking for an individual who is motivated by good practice and will work well in a team, with highly skilled and qualified professionals you must have excellent communication skills, patience, empathy and understanding of different children’s needs you will need to have confidence in speaking to parents/carers and communicate effectively with others you must have experience of working towards SEN plans and EHCP’s to meet the children’s targets experience of Makaton is also advantageous but not essential, as training can be provided applicants need to be flexible to work between the hours of 7.30am - 5.30pm and to cover staff holiday, training or sickness applicants must be willing to engage in continuous professional development/training opportunities, as well as regular staff meetings applicants must have basic knowledge of ICT first aid, safeguarding and food safety training is preferred.
