The Director of Product Management will lead a team responsible for building innovative software solutions for professional users in a highly regulated environment. This role emphasizes delivering customer-centric, data-informed products while balancing strategic vision with practical execution. You will guide and mentor product managers, align cross-functional teams, and ensure products meet user needs, business objectives, and compliance requirements. The position provides an opportunity to shape long-term product strategy, drive measurable impact, and foster a collaborative, inclusive culture that encourages innovation and high performance.

Accountabilities:

  • Hire, coach, and develop a high-performing team of product managers.
  • Define and execute the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with customer needs, business goals, and market trends.
  • Guide product managers in leveraging data, customer insights, and market analysis to prioritize initiatives and validate solutions.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Design, Sales, Marketing, Support, and Compliance teams to ensure successful product delivery.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and evolving customer requirements to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Ensure product decisions balance technical feasibility, business constraints, and regulatory compliance.
  • Promote cross-functional collaboration and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in product management, including 3+ years leading and mentoring product managers.
  • Experience developing B2B software products, ideally in tax, accounting, or other professional services.
  • Strong skills in product discovery, delivery, and roadmap development.
  • Proven ability to collaborate and communicate effectively across all organizational levels.
  • Capable of balancing strategic thinking with practical execution to deliver business value.
  • Nice to have: familiarity with tax professional workflows and experience in regulated or compliance-heavy industries.
  • Demonstrated commitment to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion in team management and decision-making.
