In this role, you will lead the creative vision and strategic direction for AI-powered design projects across video generation, experience design, and content systems. You will oversee a team of designers and motion artists, fostering innovation while ensuring high-quality outputs for complex multi-platform campaigns. Collaborating with executive leadership, strategists, engineers, and content designers, you will transform brand concepts into immersive experiences that push the boundaries of generative design, animation, and hybrid media. This role combines hands-on creative direction with team management, strategic planning, and client engagement, shaping the overall creative culture and elevating the impact of design work across a variety of formats and industries.
Accountabilities:
- Define and execute the creative strategy for AI-powered, multi-platform campaigns.
- Lead and mentor a team of designers, motion artists, and creative technologists, fostering innovation and professional growth.
- Develop and guide strategic concepts from brief to final execution, ensuring alignment with brand and business objectives.
- Oversee the creation and evolution of visual systems, style guides, templates, and scalable design frameworks.
- Lead integrated teams across copywriting, AI engineering, and production to deliver cohesive storytelling experiences.
- Drive the development of video pipelines, modular assets, and templates compatible with generative and programmatic workflows.
- Champion the adoption of AI tools and generative design technologies, establishing best practices and R&D initiatives.
- Maintain quality standards and optimize production workflows for efficient and timely creative delivery.
Requirements
- 8–12 years of progressive experience in design and creative leadership roles, preferably in agencies, studios, or production companies.
- Proven experience managing and mentoring creative teams (5+ direct reports preferred).
- Exceptional portfolio showcasing brand design, strategic thinking, and innovative motion work.
- Advanced proficiency in creative direction and technical tools (After Effects, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, motion prototyping tools).
- Experience with generative design tools and AI-powered creative workflows is highly preferred.
- Strong business acumen, including client relationship management, project budgeting, and creative strategy development.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of articulating creative vision to diverse stakeholders.
- Bonus: Experience in AI-native companies, developing generative content systems, or pioneering innovative creative frameworks.
