Data Scientist (16 Months Contract)

About this role As a seasoned Data Scientist, you’ll transform complex datasets into clear, actionable insights that guide product and business decisions. You’ll communicate findings effectively—both visually and verbally—to diverse audiences, helping stakeholders make informed choices. In this role, you’ll design and build machine learning models, collaborating with ML Engineers to deploy, monitor, and optimize them for speed, accuracy, and scalability. You’ll work closely with Developers and Operations Research Scientists to integrate predictive insights that maximize organizational impact. Collaboration is central to your success. Partnering with Product Owners, Data Engineers, Business Analysts, and other stakeholders, you’ll help define and track success metrics that tie directly to business goals, ensuring measurable and meaningful results. Qualifications & Skills Education: Master’s or PhD in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Computer Engineering, Mathematics or Physics. Experience: Proven professional experience applying data science and machine learning to large-scale problems. Technical Expertise: Highly proficient in Python with the ability to navigate and contribute to complex codebases. Skilled in querying and manipulating data from SQL and NoSQL systems, with familiarity using large-scale data platforms (e.g., Google BigQuery, Amazon Datastores). Applied knowledge of machine learning frameworks, real-time inference, and stream processing is a plus. Communication: Strong ability to translate analytical findings into clear business insights and present results effectively, both verbally and in writing. Collaboration: Comfortable explaining statistical and machine learning concepts to technical stakeholders.
