  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability and efficiency of the data centre.
Skills & Experience Required Essential
  • Proven experience in maintenance within critical environments, ideally data centres.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical or electrical systems (HVAC, UPS, generators, LV panels, cooling systems).
  • Solid understanding of safe systems of work (permit-to-work, risk assessments, MOPs/SOPs).
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and O&M manuals.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
Desirable
  • Previous experience in data centre, telecoms, banking, or pharmaceutical environments.
  • Familiarity with BMS/EMS systems and remote monitoring tools.
  • IT literacy (CMMS systems, Microsoft Office, logging tools).
Qualifications
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Services Engineering.
  • 18th Edition (if electrical bias).
  • F-Gas certification (if mechanical/HVAC bias) – desirable.
  • Additional data centre or critical environment training is advantageous.
