As a Data Analyst at Hiive, you will be a critical part of our Data team, acting as a bridge between business and data. You will use your technical expertise to translate business questions into actionable insights, directly supporting the company's critical growth and data-driven decision-making culture.

In this role, your responsibilities would include:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional business teams (Marketing, Sales, Finance, Compliance) to understand their data needs and deliver high-quality, reliable data solutions and insights.

  • Design, build, and maintain self-serve business intelligence products (topics, dashboards and reports) that deliver insights across every aspect of the business.

  • Conduct deep-dive data analysis to identify trends, measure performance against key goals (KPIs), and inform strategic business decisions.

  • Write and optimize complex SQL queries for ad-hoc analysis and data validation, ensuring data integrity and performance.

  • Support the activation of data for business operations, including automated marketing, operational alerting, and downstream systems.

Required Experience:

  • Hands-on experience with modern data stack tools, including cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake), data transformation tools (e.g., dbt), ETL processes.

  • Deep expertise in business intelligence tools, Omni preferred but skills with Looker, Sigma are directly transferable while PowerBI and Tableau less so.

  • Experience with web event reporting solutions such as Segment, Amplitude, Mixpanel or preferably Posthog.

  • Strong SQL and data modelling capabilities, with a rigorous focus on data integrity, accuracy, and performance.

  • Experience with marketing, financial, product, and operational data reporting.

  • A proven track record of using data analysis to solve complex business problems and drive measurable outcomes.

  • Understanding of data governance, compliance, and best practices for data quality.

Preferred Experience:

  • Technical experience in data science.

  • Experience in financial markets or fintech environments.

  • Experience using Python or R for statistical analysis.
