This role requires a strong Manager who can drive delivery through others. You will be the people lead, coordinating and delivering project work through others, ensuring next steps are advancing, while overseeing BAU activity and leading team members. In this role, your responsibilities will include, but not limited to: Take accountability for the delivery of complex analytical projects, distributing tasks based on skillset and bandwidth. Make decisions and recommendations, based on the output of analytics, and drive the delivery of the projects forward. Support creation of team and project plans to track delivery against agreed timelines, negotiate blockers and delays with relevant stakeholders and demonstrates accountability. Drive strategic change, utilising new approaches and data to optimise the outcome we deliver. Engage with stakeholders as required to get buy-in for proposals. Take responsibility for managing a portfolio, including management oversight and governance Deputises for Senior Manager on occasion. To be successful in this role you should have the following core skills: Can prioritise and switch priorities quickly to meet business needs. Ability to apply pragmatic thinking, using expertise and judgement to drive delivery. Excellent written and spoken communication skills; an ability to communicate with impact, ensuring complex information is articulated in a meaningful way to wide and varied audiences. Has an excellent knowledge of the credit life cycle, collections and recoveries practice and understands the market positioning of HSBC products Proven track record in credit or collections risk data. Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a strong understanding of Credit Risk Policy and procedures. Strong SQL or Python skills. Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a team-oriented environment. This role can be based in Birmingham, Sheffield, Chester or Leeds – Hybrid Working.
