Job Purpose: The Courier ensures timely and secure delivery of items to various locations. Operating as a vital link in the logistics chain, you will be responsible for efficiently transporting goods, maintaining delivery schedules, and upholding a high standard of customer service.
· Collect packages from designated locations and ensure their safe transportation to the intended destinations.
· Adhere to assigned delivery routes and timelines, optimizing efficiency.
· Conduct regular vehicle inspections to ensure it is in optimal working condition.
· Report any maintenance or mechanical issues promptly and coordinate with the appropriate parties for resolution.
· Interact professionally with customers during pickups and deliveries, maintaining a positive and customer-focused attitude.
· Handle inquiries and address concerns with courtesy and efficiency.
· Maintain accurate records of deliveries and any other required documentation.
· Ensure proper handling and storage of sensitive or confidential packages.
· Communicate effectively with coordinators to provide real-time updates on delivery status.
· Report any delays, disruptions, or incidents promptly.
· Comply with all traffic laws and regulations during transportation.
· Stay informed about changes in traffic patterns, road conditions, and other factors that may impact delivery schedules.
· Perform other duties as assigned

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, ETC.:
· High School Diploma/GED. Associates or higher degree from a vocational school or college preferred
· At least 21 years of age
· Valid Driver’s license with no moving violations or accidents within the past 3 years
· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
· Safe driving skills and ability to multitask
· Strong customer service skills
· Must be highly motivated and able to work independently
· Must be able to prioritize tasks based on urgency
· Able to work without supervision and appropriately meet multiple deadlines
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Environmental Conditions: IN PERSON, primarily in company vehicles.
Physical Conditions:
· Must be able to work as scheduled – typically from 8:00 – 5:00 M-F, possible weekends or early AM hours for scheduled PM or emergencies
· Must be able to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods of time
· Must be able to bend, stoop and stretch
· Must be able to lift and move objects up to 75 pounds consistently with heavier weight necessary at times
· Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate office equipment, etc.

· Ability to communicate effectively and comfortably with e-mail, text and phone. Must include written and verbal skills
· Effectively manages day by organizing and prioritizing
· Good driving record and reliable transportation
· Protects patient information and maintains confidentiality
