Bachelor's degree in occupational health & safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related discipline Postgraduate qualification in Occupational Health, Safety, Risk Management or similar (desirable) NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Chartered Membership of IOSH Registered member of IIRSM (desirable). Significant experience (8+years) in a professional HSW role with a minimum of 5 years in leadership preferably in large, complex, multi-site organizations Proven track record of managing HSW teams and delivering strategies at a national or regional level Experience with ISO 45001 implementation, maintenance, and certification processes Experience with ISO 45003 implementation (desirable) Demonstrable experience in incident investigation, risk management, and regulatory compliance in the UK&I Experience liaising with UK&I regulatory authorities (e.g., HSE) and managing statutory obligations In -depth CDM knowledge In-depth knowledge of UK&I HSW legislation (Health and Safety at Work Act, Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations, etc.) Familiarity with security protocols relevant to physical and people security (e.g., vetting, Read On/Read Off, NSV-SC clearance) Competence in HSW management systems, data analytics, and digital reporting tools Strategic thinker with ability to align local and global objectives Excellent communication and influencing skills at all organizational levels, including Board Experience managing and developing multidisciplinary teams Strong stakeholder engagement skills (internal and external/clients) Ability and willingness to travel nationally as required Demonstrated commitment to inclusion, diversity, and wellbeing in the workplace * Ability to adapt and apply HSW strategies in diverse business and cultural contexts Change leadership: Capable of creating stability and security during uncertainty, managing ambiguity, and proactively addressing and preventing change fatigue Change management: Track record of introducing and embedding new business models, driving standardization, automation, and continuous improvement Ability to adapt and apply HSW strategies in diverse business and cultural contexts Builds and maintains trust through transparency, reliability, and ethical leadership. Ensure compliance with ISO 45001, ISO 45003, and all relevant UK&I legislation and standards through audits and legal register evaluations Oversee the risk assessment process to proactively identify, evaluate, and mitigate workplace hazards Lead incident investigation and escalation processes, ensuring timely reporting to authorities and internal stakeholders Manage crisis management, business continuity, and emergency response planning in country. Performance Monitoring & Reporting Provide quarterly reports to the UK Board and attend UK Board meetings as required Physical & People Security Ensure compliance with vetting protocols, Read On/Read Off, and external accreditations (IPSA, FSC) Works with the Global Infosec team to support physical and personnel security aspects of secure project delivery to meet client expectations. Collaborate with HR, Property, FM, Procurement, and other functions to align cross-functional processes impacting HSW (induction, stress management, pregnancy, etc.) Provide expert input into Learning & Development initiatives related to health, safety and wellbeing Build organizational networks that are value-adding, engaging and purposeful Apply an adaptive style to engagement that is culturally sensitive and appeals to the personal needs of others Build trust through authenticity, demonstrating integrity and courage regarding own.
