Main responsibilities:
The Legal Department has an opening for an experienced employment attorney with significant warehouse/distribution law expertise to become a part of its Field Operations and Employment Team. This position is located at our Itasca, Illinois; Boise, Idaho; or Pleasanton, California campus. The candidate must be licensed to practice in the United States and able to build and maintain strong professional working relationships with internal clients, peers and external partners.
What you will be doing
The Counsel – Employment (Supply Chain) will play a key role within the Albertson’s legal team. You will work directly with the warehousing and distribution operations leadership and advise on all aspects of employment law for the workforce. You will provide day-to-day advice, resolving pre-litigation disputes, internal investigations and administrative claims, including OSHA complaints. This position will also provide support for a variety of commercial agreements, including pre-contract support as well as resolving disputes over existing agreements. In addition, this role will support the entire Field Operations and Employment team regarding employment law matters, including managing class action litigation.

The salary range is $ 140,000 to $ 215,000 annually. Starting salary will vary based on criteria such as location, experience, and qualifications. There may be flexibility for exceptional candidates.
