This role is based in-office at one of our physical bureau locations. The specific bureau will depend on where the successful candidate is located. We have bureaus in Winnipeg, Montreal and Halifax, and the role will be performed from the nearest available bureau. As APTN’s Content Associate, you’ll support the content team in bringing Indigenous stories to life—managing projects, coordinating productions, and keeping everything running like clockwork. It’s the perfect role for someone who thrives behind the scenes and wants to make a real impact in media. Highlights of this opportunity: * Support the creative process by helping develop and manage Requests for Proposals (RFPs) that bring new Indigenous stories to life. * Be the go-to collaborator for Content Executives, assisting with everything from development to delivery. * Coordinate Members’ Society projects from application through to final delivery—keeping everything on track and on time. * Represent APTN at industry events, helping to build relationships and promote Indigenous content. * Keep projects moving smoothly by managing files, tracking progress, and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks. * Help shape content decisions by gathering data, preparing reports, and offering insights to leadership. * Work cross-functionally with multiple departments to ensure seamless communication and execution. * Flex your organizational superpowers by juggling multiple projects and deadlines with ease. * Gain hands-on experience in broadcasting, production, and Indigenous media. * Contribute to meaningful storytelling that reflects and celebrates Indigenous cultures and communities. * Travel will be required, as assigned. Your accomplishments and experience include: * Post-secondary education in a relevant discipline and 2-5 years related experience (production, communication or business); or equivalent combination of education, experience, and traditional knowledge; * 1-2 years of professional Production or Broadcast experience is required; * Proficient written and verbal communication in French is preferred, but not required; * Broadcasting knowledge; * Experience in content development; * Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; * Experience working with an Indigenous organization as well as knowledge of Indigenous cultural perspectives is an asset.
