Consultant - ServiceNow Architect Location: Austin Tx, Type: Fixed Term Employee (6 months, with possible extension) – eligible for employee benefits Department: Technology Job Summary We are seeking a senior ServiceNow Architect / Lead to drive an enterprise-wide transformation of Software Asset Management (SAM), CMDB, Technology Standards (TS/TRM), Governance, Discovery, and Financial Intelligence on the ServiceNow platform. This role will establish ServiceNow as the single authoritative system, replacing legacy tools (e.g., Flexera and external TS systems), enabling native governance workflows, advanced integrations, and scalable reporting across a complex, multi-BU, federated environment. Responsibilities Lead design and delivery of enterprise SAM, CMDB, ITOM, TRM, and governance capabilities in ServiceNow Implement and optimize complex software licensing (Oracle, Microsoft, IBM, VMware) and publisher integrations Replace Flexera with native ServiceNow SAM, including data migration and enterprise reporting Migrate external Technology Standards (TS) into ServiceNow with fully native governance workflows Integrate ServiceNow with cloud platforms, security tools, procurement, finance, and EA systems Establish VMware, cloud, container, and endpoint discovery as authoritative CMDB sources Design scalable workflow monitoring, SLA management, and escalation frameworks Enable advanced governance features including environment-based approvals, CVE-driven controls, and software rationalization Support financial routing, cost allocation, spend forecasting, and chargeback reporting Extend CMDB to support labs, environments, security classifications, AI governance, and hardware assets Partner with IT, Security, Finance, Architecture, and Procurement leaders to drive adoption and outcomes Eligibility Requirements 8 - 10 years of ServiceNow experience in large enterprise environments Deep hands-on expertise with SAM Pro, CMDB, ITOM Discovery, TRM, and integrations Proven experience with complex licensing models and enterprise SAM transformations Strong architecture, data modeling, and workflow automation skills Experience integrating ServiceNow with cloud, security, procurement, and financial systems Ability to operate as architect, hands-on leader, and executive stakeholder partner Preferred Qualifications ServiceNow CIS or Master Architect certifications Data mesh, or AI enablement experience Experience in regulated or federated enterprise environments In the US, the target base salary for this role is $165,000 to $176,000. Compensation is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography.
