Community Access Facilitator - Residential

Essential criteria for the position of Community Access Facilitator:

  • A full QQI level 7 Award in Social Care/ Studies or relevant 3rd Level Qualification at degree level i.e.; Social Work, Psychology is essential, (or relevant qualification received outside the state recognised by NARIC equivalent to Irish level 7).
  • At least six month's recent experience working in the Social Care field supporting people with complex needs
  • Availability to work shifts on a rota basis including evenings and weekends and waking night duty shifts
  • Full, clean Irish driving licence with requirement to drive service vehicles
  • Permission to work in Ireland essential

Qualifications required for a Community Access Facilitator:

  • A full QQI level 7 Award in Social Care/ Studies or relevant 3rd Level Qualification at degree level i.e.; Social Work, Psychology is essential, with at least six month's recent experience working in a Social Care field supporting people with complex needs

Skills/Abilities required of a Community Access Facilitator:

  • Proven knowledge of current legislation and regulations relating to the Social Care Sector
  • Understanding of the needs and rights of individuals with autism
  • Proven ability to work on own initiative
  • Proven experience in the implementation and development of support/care plans and PCP’s
  • Places the needs of the person supported as the key focus in all activities
  • Delivers support according to the person’s PCP and care plan
  • Fluent English and excellent communication skills
  • Full clean Irish driving licence with requirement to drive service vehicles
