St Jude's Church of England Primary School is looking for a clerk to the governing board to support meetings throughout the year for a period of 200 hours. This is a term time position. The pay band quoted is for a fully accredited clerk. The role: Support the Chair of Governors with governing board matters; Clerk meetings throughout the year of the Full Governing Board (FGB) and its committees. The FGB meets twice a term between 18.30 to 20.30 plus committee meetings during school hours. In addition, there will be one half day team development day to attend and clerk for. Duties include drafting work schedules and agendas, minute taking, collation and distribution of paperwork, as well as ensuring governor information on the website is up to date. Attendance at relevant training courses for continuing professional development will be expected. Qualifications and skills: Ideally, an accredited clerk; Previous experience of clerking or secretarial duties; Understanding of the law around school governance; Good communication, literacy and IT skills; Discretion and effective organisational skills.
