Voyago is hiring a Casual Charter/School Bus Driver in Ottawa West! We are seeking a reliable and professional Charter Driver to complement our team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting passengers on a variety of charter trips, ensuring they have a comfortable and enjoyable travel experience. You will serve as the face of our company, providing exceptional customer service while maintaining the highest safety standards. This is a casual position with an as-needed work schedule. Your flexibility for weekdays and weekends is crucial to the role. Your role: Safely operate buses and transport passengers on scheduled charter trips and occasional school routes Ensure the safety of passengers during boarding, exiting, and throughout the journey Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they meet safety and operational standards Fueling the bus and maintaining cleanliness inside and outside the vehicle Report any mechanical issues or safety concerns promptly to the maintenance team Provide excellent customer service, responding to passenger needs and inquiries in a professional and courteous manner Follow all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations at all times Maintain accurate logs, trip reports, and any required documentation Your profile You hold an Ontario B class license, and a clean driver's abstract. You are safety focused You are 21 years of age or over You enjoy working with the public and providing a safe comfortable travel experience for our passengers You can obtain a clean criminal record search and vulnerable sector screening You have a sound knowledge of the Ottawa region and surrounding areas You have the physical ability to bend, twist, and secure wheelchairs on accessible buses, ability to lift passenger luggage into bus storage compartments You are comfortable driving on all highways in all weather and road conditions You have the ability to work independently You have flexible availability and can work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays You have intermediate to advanced verbal and written language skills (equivalent to B2 to C1 levels) Your location You’ll be based at Voyago Transportation Yard - 100 Cardevco Rd, Carp ON Hourly Rate: Pay Rates Charter routes: $23.00/hour Rates for school routes: Big yellow, mini-yellow, and wheelchair routes: $23.00/hour $18.85 for non-driving work.
