Job Overview
Our Care Responders play a vital role in ensuring the continuous delivery of high-quality service to our clients across the Northside of Dublin, while providing essential field support to our Healthcare Assistants.
In this role, you will operate as an "on-call" Healthcare Assistant. Working 5 days a week within structured, set hours, you will cover unexpected staff absences, assist with emergencies, and support the wider team wherever needed. We look after a diverse range of adults in the community, including older persons and individuals with long-term disabilities requiring complex, personal, and social care.
Core Responsibilities

Shift & Absence Cover: Promptly cover unscheduled staff absences to ensure continuity of care for our clients.

On-Call Rota: Participate in the monthly on-call rotation, including one weekend per month as required.

Direct Care: Deliver high-quality personal and social care to clients in strict accordance with their individual care plans.

Emergency Response: Assist with urgent or unexpected issues in the field to guarantee client safety and wellbeing.

Mobility: Travel efficiently between client locations across the Northside Dublin area.

Mentorship: Introduce, shadow, and support new staff members during their onboarding process.

Compliance & Reporting: Document all care provided and report any areas of concern accurately, following company policies and Health & Safety regulations.

Supervisory Support: Assist field supervisors and management with daily operational needs as required.

Requirements & Qualifications

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Care Assistant within a community setting.

Education: QQI/FETAC Level 5 (or equivalent) qualification in a Healthcare discipline.

Skills: Excellent communication skills (fluent written, spoken, and reading English is essential).

Certifications: Current, valid certifications in CPR and Patient Moving & Handling.

Driving Licence: Must possess a Full, Clean Irish or European driving licence with access to your own vehicle.

Compliance: Must provide excellent professional and character references and be willing to undergo the Garda Vetting process.
