Are you a passionate, experienced trainer or consultant committed to social change? Do you want to be part of a national movement to end homelessness? The Canadian Alliance to End Homelessness (CAEH) is building a dynamic Training Faculty, and we want you on our team.
About Us
CAEH’s Training and Support Service is a mission-driven, non-profit consulting service dedicated to ending homelessness in Canada. We provide accessible, affordable, evidence-based training and support tailored to each community’s unique needs. We partner with trailblazing communities across the country, empowering them with personalized training, coaching, and consulting.
What We’re Looking For
We're looking to build a roster of contract trainers and consultants to join our faculty on an as-needed basis. You’ll help deliver expert training, coaching, consultation, and support to communities working to end homelessness. Our offerings span in-person workshops, virtual sessions, and self-paced online courses through our learning management system (LMS).
Ideal Candidates Will Have
Expertise in housing-focused practices to end homelessness
Experience delivering training or consultation to diverse audiences
A collaborative, community-centered approach
Strong facilitation and communication skills
Being bilingual in English and French is an asset but not a requirement
Have the ability travel within Canada to deliver training and consulting services
Have ready access to a major airport
Flexibility to work on a Contract basis
We’re currently recruiting independent contractors to support our training and service delivery. While we’re excited to offer meaningful opportunities, please note that hours may vary based on project needs, and we’re unable to guarantee a minimum number of hours.

Deliver CAEH-developed training and consulting services
Work to develop new products and services based on the needs of clients
Adapt content to meet the needs of specific communities or organizations
Contribute to a growing national movement focused on innovation and impact
Work with a supportive team led by CAEH’s Training and Support Lead

What’s the Process?
Here’s what to expect during our process. At any stage, feel free to ask questions about our team, organization, or the role to hr@caeh.ca:
Expression of interest: You’ll be asked to submit your expression of interest and answer a few questions. A cover letter and resume are not required though welcome.
Screening call (30 minutes): A shorter conversation with those individuals we would like to move forward with to discuss request a resume and discuss logistics, compensation, etc..
Training demonstration: Following this, we will ask qualified candidates to provide a recorded training demonstration that includes the following three components:
Introduce Yourself.
Explain how you would prepare for a training, including contacting the community you were working with, preparing, etc..
Train on one of the five Principles of Housing First.
Interview (60 minutes): A conversation with additional team members that will focus on your technical skills, experience, and work style and explore values and organizational culture alignment.
Reference Check: Finalists may be asked to provide 2-3 references, including at least one direct supervisor.
