Business Systems Analyst – Exstream / Guidewire Opportunity in the insurance industry for a skilled professional with expertise in document publishing, Guidewire, and OpenText Exstream. This hybrid role involves driving system migrations and authoring specifications in a fast-paced, bilingual environment with strong stakeholder collaboration. What is in it for you: • Salaried: $70-78 per hour. • Incorporated Business Rate: $80-89 per hour. • 6-month contract. • Full-time position: 37.50 hours per week. • Hybrid model: 3 days per week on-site, subject to change. Responsibilities: • Collaborate with business and rating analysts to gather requirements for document publishing changes. • Investigate and analyze moderate to complex system issues and recommend solutions. • Author detailed Functional Specification Documents (FSDs) and business requirements. • Create document mock-ups for review and approval. • Write user stories aligned with system needs. • Test all system modifications in lower environments before User Acceptance Testing (UAT). • Ensure high quality and accuracy in deliverables. • Contribute to implementation efforts across all associated entities within the group. What you will need to succeed: • Post-secondary education in a relevant field. • 5+ years of experience in the insurance industry. • 3–5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in publishing/document solutions. • Prior systems or programming experience. • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PDF, AFP, and SQL. • Experience with OpenText Exstream. • Experience with Guidewire systems. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Bilingual in English and French to support the creation, review, and delivery of client-facing documents across Canada in both official languages is an asset. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • High attention to detail and ability to multitask independently. • Strong customer service orientation. • Familiarity with Jira and SQL Query is an asset.
