The Business Product Owner CE - DM will lead the development and execution of technology product roadmaps supporting research operational processes. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including medical and technical teams, to ensure solutions meet strategic objectives. You will oversee product backlogs, define priorities, and translate business needs into actionable user stories. The position offers an opportunity to drive process improvement, optimize operational efficiency, and enable innovation within a complex, data-driven environment. You will engage in agile practices, lead user acceptance testing, and support communication and training efforts to maximize adoption. This role allows you to influence organizational growth while working in a dynamic, collaborative setting.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead product vision, roadmap, and strategy to drive efficiency, automation, and innovation in research operations.
  • Facilitate cross-functional process analysis, recommend enhancements, and identify opportunities for quality improvements.
  • Collaborate with IT, business analysts, and solution architects to design and deliver scalable, effective solutions.
  • Prioritize backlog, decompose features into user stories, and define acceptance criteria.
  • Conduct sprint planning, demos, and user acceptance testing to ensure product meets requirements.
  • Manage release schedules, adjust priorities, and resolve delivery roadblocks.
  • Own end-user communication, training strategy, and adoption of defined products.
  • Participate in management discussions, annual planning, and alignment of departmental goals with organizational objectives.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in US healthcare, health plan operations, or related areas.
  • Experience in product development, acting as liaison between business and technical teams.
  • Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • Expertise in process definition, continuous improvement, and change management.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, conflict resolution, presentation, facilitation, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to handle confidential information.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a matrix organization.
  • Experience with medical coding, reimbursement processes, and operational workflows preferred.
