HSBC’s Legal function plays a critical role in supporting the bank’s global operations, managing legal risk, and ensuring the efficient and effective use of external legal resources. We are currently seeking an experience individual, to be the Business Manager within Litigation, Regulatory Enforcement and Investigations (LREI). The HSBC Legal Business Manager is positioned as a key role in the Legal Operations Director, Europe Business Management structure. The Business Manager will support the Global Head of LREI also providing Business Management support to the Employment, FCLA and Competition teams and will be responsible for providing strategic operational advice and efficient and effective operational management across LREI team to deliver: A move across the business allows you to continue to access tailored professional development opportunities, and our fantastic benefits packages. In this role, you will: Support the Global Head member with activity analysis, offshoring strategy, models of support and achieving operational leverage and support Global Head delivery on strategic priorities and actions from Snapshot survey. Support transition (where applicable) with technology implementation (i.e. Ask Legal) and provide MI to senior Global Headand the wider LREI leadership team. Pro-actively identify areas for improvement in the Legal function’s global operations in relation to finances and headcount reporting and support the global implementation of strategies for enhancing the function’s approach on these matters. Work with lead lawyer and procurement regarding third party engagements, extension to SoWs (where applicable) Work with the Innovation team to expedite delivery of AI solutions for LREI Legal. To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements: Strong Financial Acumen with excellent financial management ability Prior experience of working with operational centres of excellence and business management roles. Evidence of formulating creative/innovative solutions to complex global issues/initiatives and of executing final delivery of those solutions Able to work with individuals at different levels of seniority, with the ability to build relationships by communicating, influencing and negotiating effectively with business heads, senior managers, third party consultants, technical experts across the whole department and business users Drive and tenacity to ensure change is effectively implemented in a matrix environment The base location for this role is London with a hybrid working pattern.
