Your role as Business Development Executive: This role works closely with the MTM Agency marketing team to identify new business opportunities with brand partners across agreed target markets. It involves nurturing these opportunities so that when prospects have a brief for any of the agency’s digital marketing, design, or development services—or wish to explore how MTM can further improve the effectiveness of their marketing and digital investments—the agency is well positioned to support them. The ultimate objective is to create opportunities for meaningful conversations between qualified prospects and the agency’s senior team, enabling the team to build trust and showcase the depth of MTM’s collective expertise. Main Accountabilities: Relationship Building and Client Engagement Develop and nurture new relationships with potential brand partners, and prospects, through consistent, thoughtful communication. Focusing on understanding client needs and adding value Proactively network and attend events, trade shows and digital channels to promote the agency's services Join or travel to pitches and client meetings as required Opportunity Development & Lead Management Identify, qualify, and nurture new business opportunities Support the full business development lifecycle, from first contact to proposal and handover Maintain accurate CRM records and work toward agreed sales targets Collaboration with Internal Teams Work with marketing, design, and development teams to shape proposals Ensure smooth handovers between business development and delivery teams Contribute to discussions on positioning, services, and go-to-market strategy Learning & Development Build strong knowledge of MTM’s service offering and active client campaigns Develop presentation and communication skillsAdopt tools and software that improve efficiency Strategic Contribution & Growth Help refine the agency’s approach to identifying and engaging prospects Provide market and client insights to guide service improvements Track and report on business development performance Other Responsibilities Collaborate across departments to support high-quality proposals and client experiences Understand budgets and help maximise profitability Maintain professionalism, complete required training, and represent the agency at events Participate in appraisals and follow company policies and procedures What we'd like you to bring to the role: Proven experience in business development, client relationship management, or account management Experience in identifying and nurturing new business opportunities through relationship-led approaches Knowledge of CRM systems and business development tools to manage pipelines and track engagement (desirable) Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and relationship-building skills with the ability to build trust and rapport at all levels Entrepreneurial, coachable, and driven - hungry to learn and grow into a strategic seller
