We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team on secondment in the role of Business Analyst (GCB5). The HSBC UK Change Execution team is a multi-disciplinary team using Agile and Waterfall practices to manage and deliver transformational change programmes and projects across all brands and propositions. Primarily, the individual will be responsible for the definition of the analysis approach for large transformational programmes working in a dynamic, agile, collaborative environment. The role holder will engage and collaborate with senior Value Stream stakeholders across the business and technology teams. Leading requirements management, delivering critical insights and recommendations to shape delivery across the full change lifecycle, leveraging opportunities and managing challenges. As an experienced analyst, this role includes leading people (onshore and offshore), task management and coaching Associate Business Analysts. Helping to develop the skills and professionalism of the Analysis Centre of Excellence by championing industry practices and developing the team. In this role you will: Define the most appropriate analysis approach and breakdown structure to a problem/opportunity during discovery analysis, leading a multi skilled team to achieve the required goal. Understanding the needs of the Business though stakeholder collaboration, translating requirements into Features, Epics, User Stories and Acceptance Criteria to enable development. Requirements management and traceability, including scope management and change control. Detailed investigation and analysis work including MI, data, processes, systems, root causes and gaps. Input to project planning, reporting, risk, issue, assumption and dependency management, ensuring adherence to the required change governance. Process mapping, creating wireframes, basic prototypes and key supporting project documentation. Support the definition of the solution design for non-technology projects and supporting IT with definition of the technology elements. Provide support to the Product Owner in decision making, managing and refining product backlogs, understanding the business propositions, and supporting the tracking and delivery of benefits. Knowledge sharing, with lessons learnt information documented and referenced. Supporting Change & Implementation/Business Readiness activities such as: - Operational Impact Assessments Understanding and Writing Procedures Customer letter specifications Communication planning Developing User Acceptance Test strategies and plans, to support defect management and customer sign-off for the deliverable, ensuring product is fit for purpose. Facilitating pilots To be successful in this role you should meet the following essential requirements: Experience in delivering change in complex business environments, using a wide range of information to inform direction and decision making A track record of constantly looking for ways to do things better with an excellent understanding of the mechanisms of change implementation Excellent written and spoken communication skills with an ability to communicate with impact, ensuring complex information is articulated in a meaningful way to wide and varied audiences Experience in self-directing to build effective stakeholder networks both internally and externally and work collaboratively with others to achieve a common goal. Self-motivated and able to work independently and at pace under your own initiative with a sense of ownership and accountability. Positive, dynamic and resilient, open to change and able to adapt to changing circumstances. Experience responding positively to challenge and handling diverse opinions, showing consideration for others’ views and taking these into account when making decisions. A track record of making customers (external and/or internal) the focal point, ensuring they get the right service or solution - every time.
