Job Details Based at Bankhead, this permanent role (36 hours per week) involves working across Fife Council owned bus stations, including Dunfermline, Glenrothes, Kirkcaldy, and Leven. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the bus station, ensuring a safe and efficient environment, and providing a customer focused point of contact for all users of the facility. This position requires working a shift pattern of five days within a seven-day week, rota based which includes weekend and evening shifts, with enhanced pay for unsocial hours. In this role, you will: Be based at Bankhead initially, while being assigned to work at any of Fife Council’s four bus stations. Provide cover at other bus stations across Fife as needed Work additional hours to cover workloads, sickness, or holiday absences Travel expenses will be paid when working at other bus stations in Fife. If you have the experience, motivation and skills required to meet the key requirements of this role then we would love to hear from you. Key areas of work include: Provide advice/travel information and general assistance to the users of the bus station, dealing with any complaints in a professional and customer focussed manner. Assisting with the day-to-day administrative duties within the bus station such as record keeping, cash collection, banking and preparing reports for the Lead Consultant or his staff as requested Ensuring that the operation of buses within the Bus Stations is in accordance with the appropriate regulations and conditions of use ensuring that compliance is met with current Health & Safety Liaising with bus operators and their staff in respect of day-to-day operational matters to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the bus station. The Person Educated to SCQF level 4, which includes National 4 or Standard Grades at General level or O’ Grades or equivalent. Previous experience of working in a public transport role is desirable as is experience in a similar environment / facility.
