Essential Job Functions 

Operational Leadership 

  • Lead daily warehouse and logistics operations across a multi-client 3PL environment, ensuring compliance with contractual SLAs, KPI performance, and customer expectations. 
  • Drive productivity, efficiency, and continuous improvement across receiving, storage, picking, packing, shipping, returns management, and value-added services. 
  • Manage peak season planning, workforce scaling, and performance management for high-volume e-commerce operations. 

People Management 

  • Provide leadership and development for a team of approx. 130 employees including supervisors, team leads, and support personnel. 
  • Foster a positive, performance-driven culture with strong focus on safety, quality, and employee engagement. 
  • Oversee hiring, training, and succession planning to ensure operational resilience. 
  • Customer & Stakeholder Management 
  • Act as the primary point of contact for key clients; maintain strong relationships, manage expectations, and support business growth. 
  • Participate in customer QBRs, performance reviews, and operational improvement initiatives. 
  • Financial & Commercial Leadership 
  • Manage site P&L, budgeting, cost control, labor planning, and financial reporting. 
  • Identify opportunities to improve profitability through efficiency gains, cost reductions, layout optimization, and automation initiatives. 
  • Support commercial teams in onboarding new clients, solution design, and change management. 

Compliance, Safety & Quality 

  • Ensure full compliance with HSE, ISO, customs, security, and industry standards. 
  • Champion a strong safety culture and oversee incident management, corrective actions, and risk mitigation

Experience 

Minimum 7–10 years of experience managing a large warehouse or 3PL contract logistics site, ideally in a multi-client environment.

Proven leadership in high-volume e-commerce fulfillment with strong understanding of peak/seasonal volume management.

Demonstrated ability to run operations with 100+ employees including union and/or temp labor.

Strong background in KPIs, SLAs, and continuous improvement (Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma preferred).

Experience managing a full site P&L and driving financial performance. 

Skills & Competencies 

  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management. 
  • Data-driven decision-making with excellent analytical and problem-solving capability. 
  • Ability to manage multiple clients in a fast-moving environment with shifting priorities. 
  • Strong planning, organizational, and change management capabilities.
  • Fluency in English required; Dutch strongly preferred

Education & Work Experience 

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Certifications & Licences 

  • Professional certifications (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, APICS) are a plus.
