Bar Host – Temporary Position (Until 11 January) Location: Battersea Power Station, London Rate of Pay: £12.24 per hour Hours: Part-time / Full-time / Zero-hours contract Join the team at The Chimney Lift this festive season as a Bar Host and support the smooth running of our bar operations during one of the busiest periods of the year. This temporary role is ideal for someone with previous bartending experience who can confidently deliver high service standards while maintaining excellent organisation and stock control. ResponsibilitiesBar Service & Guest Experience Prepare and serve drinks including champagne, wine, and simple cocktails. Maintain a warm, professional, and welcoming approach with all guests. Ensure consistent, high-quality service during peak periods. Stocking & Bar Maintenance Keep the bar fully restocked throughout the day, including all fridges and display areas. Monitor stock levels and communicate promptly with the Floor Manager when items need replenishing. Maintain a clean, organised, and visually appealing bar environment at all times. Operational Support Follow all bar-related opening, closing, and hygiene procedures. Operate tills and process transactions accurately. Support the wider operations team as needed. Previous bartending experience is essential, including confidence in preparing basic cocktails. Strong understanding of bar hygiene, stock rotation, and product presentation. Excellent communication skills with a friendly, guest-focused approach. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, especially during peak seasonal periods. Availability to work Wednesday to Sunday as required. Reliable, punctual, and flexible, with availability throughout the holiday season. Must be eligible to work in the UK.
