What You’ll Do As a Backend Engineer, you will play a critical role in building and scaling cutting-edge platforms at the forefront of crypto and social finance. You’ll work across the entire backend, delivering low-latency distributed systems at scale, in an environment where speed, ownership, and innovation are paramount. Architect, build, and ship high-performance solutions at speed, contributing directly to the growth of the world’s largest crypto social network Work across the backend, from infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, DB optimisations, and REST APIs, ensuring high performance and scalability Rapidly prototype and iterate on new features, balancing speed with quality in a fast-moving environment Solve complex technical challenges in a space where innovation and efficiency are the upmost priority Collaborate closely with a world-class team of engineers and product leaders to push boundaries and redefine what’s possible Take full ownership of your work, from initial concept to production deployment and maintenance Who You Are A backend engineer with deep experience building distributed systems, high performance computing, and working at scale Experienced with databases like clickhouse, timescaledb, or other time series databases Passionate about building highly-performant, scalable platforms that enable real-time user interactions Familiar with crypto, DeFi, or blockchain technologies A problem solver who thrives in ambiguity, quickly breaking down challenges and executing solutions High-agency and ownership-driven, capable of leading features end-to-end with minimal guidance Experienced in high-growth environments, startups, or fast-moving product teams where speed and impact matter Excited to work alongside top-tier engineers and contribute to a platform that’s redefining how people interact with crypto Requirements must have experience with distributed systems, high performance computing, and working at scale must have experience with databases like clickhouse, timescaledb, or other time series databases must have experience with rust, go, or other systems programming languages must have experience with typescript good to have experience with nestjs good to have studied at an elite university like Stanford or Cambridge good to have founded a startup good to have worked at a big tech company like meta, amazon, or google Why Join Us?
