Backend Engineer

We are looking for a Backend Engineer to join our partner company!  You will play a key role in building the next generation of infrastructure that powers innovation across industries like manufacturing, aerospace, healthcare, and energy. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Design and develop production-grade APIs, distributed systems, and backend services using Python, TypeScript, Go, Rust, or similar technologies. * Manage infrastructure involving relational and graph databases, containerization, and cloud platforms (AWS + Pulumi preferred). * Deploy to production from day one and take full ownership of your code and projects. * Create technical specifications, build features end-to-end, and ensure scalability and performance. * Collaborate across teams to solve complex technical and operational challenges. * Contribute to a culture of speed, ownership, and problem-solving. QUALIFICATIONS * Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience as a backend or infrastructure engineer. * Proven track record of delivering production-level software in fast-paced environments. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high sense of ownership. * Experience in distributed systems, containerization, and cloud infrastructure. * Bonus: previous experience in an early-stage startup or having founded a project yourself.
