As AVP, Financial Data Management & Governance, you will lead enterprise-wide initiatives to ensure the integrity, consistency, and strategic use of financial data. This role involves designing and implementing a robust data governance framework, streamlining financial processes, and enabling scalable, data-driven decision-making. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish standards, manage master data, and support ERP implementations. By providing thought leadership, mentorship, and operational guidance, you will ensure data quality and governance excellence across the organization. This role offers the opportunity to drive transformative change in a dynamic, highly collaborative, and compliance-focused environment.

Accountabilities:

  • Define and lead the global financial data governance strategy in alignment with enterprise goals.
  • Establish and maintain dimensional data models to support enterprise-wide reporting and analytics.
  • Implement and enforce data policies, standards, and procedures for financial data.
  • Manage finance-related master data (chart of accounts, cost centers, legal entities, products) throughout its lifecycle.
  • Lead data migration from legacy systems to new ERP platforms, ensuring quality, compliance, and automation.
  • Collaborate with IT, Finance, and business teams to design and maintain MDM systems and workflows.
  • Monitor data quality metrics, lead remediation efforts, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead and mentor a matrixed team, fostering accountability, collaboration, and professional growth.
  • Engage stakeholders, provide training, and serve as a trusted advisor on data-related risks and opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Finance, Accounting, or ERP implementation roles.
  • Proven experience leading data governance or master data management initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of accounting and finance processes.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday) and Master Data Management platforms.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Knowledge of data privacy, internal controls, and regulatory compliance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA, CFA, MBA, or relevant certifications (e.g., CDMP, PMP).
  • Experience with cloud-based financial systems and data governance platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead enterprise-wide financial data transformation initiatives.
