Role Purpose: Opportunity to become a key member in the Electronic franchise. The role will focus on daily management of client flow through the E Platform, primarily the firms Algorithmic trading offering and Smart Order Router. The candidate will be client facing, increasing penetration in to accounts and growing business with those accounts. In this role you will: - Close cooperation with the Sales Trading and Product teams across the Execution Services group will be required to leverage existing relationships in order to increase penetration and revenues from the Target client list. - The role will require the candidate to provide color on the markets, training on the algos and value add information on how to improve execution performance. TCA will be used to drive the business forward and help clients to better improve upon their Execution benchmark. - Support the delivery of commercial goals and objectives at regional and global level. - The candidate will need to articulate changes in market structure, product enhancements and inform clients how best to navigate the changing market structure - Ensure that strong working relationships are developed and maintained with all other global equity teams - The Electronic Platform is undergoing a major investment program and the job will involve articulating client feedback and requirements gathered during client contact to help prioritise platform developments in the context of the wider team to maximize revenue collected from investment spend. - The position may include helping to shape external marketing initiatives to increase the HSBC profile in the Execution space including conferences, media and marketing collateral. To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements: - Cash Equities product knowledge with solid understanding of the front to back lifecycle. - Experience of supporting and growing an Electronic desk to ensure high quality execution for global clients. - Emerging market Cash Equities knowledge and experience. - Strong knowledge of equities market structure and technology/architecture . - Ability to establish and effectively manage governance forums to support the business. - Knowledge of cross border tax implications of a global equities business including booking models and regulation regimes. - Strong all-around knowledge of financial markets and business finance. - Experience in project management / proven track record in successful project delivery - Strategic thinking / pro-active ‘can-do’ attitude / ability to challenge the norm. - Track record in producing quality analysis with good analytical skills and attention to detail. - Ability to multi-task, prioritize and operate under pressure This role is based in London.
