Read on to find out more… About the Role As an Assistive Technology Officer within Nottingham City Council’s Housing Services, you’ll play a vital role in helping people live safely and independently. You’ll be part of our dedicated Assistive Technology Team, delivering a 24/7 service to private customers and through corporate contracts. This is a varied and rewarding role where you’ll respond to alarm activations and emergency calls, carry out home visits, and install and maintain assistive technology equipment. You’ll also provide clear guidance to customers, liaise with families and professionals, and ensure accurate record-keeping to support high-quality service delivery. Your work will make a real difference to the lives of vulnerable residents, including those with complex needs. You’ll help ensure that the right support is in place, whether through telecare, telehealth, or emergency response, and contribute to promoting independence and wellbeing across our communities. About You The ideal candidate will have: Experience of delivering service to vulnerable groups within the community, and an understanding of services available Self-Motivation and able to work with minimum supervision Empathy and Sensitivity towards meeting the needs and aspirations of customers Ability to make accurate and timely decisions, often in pressurised situations and to act tactfully and with sensitivity and curtesy at all times. Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills Proven ability to work to a high level of accuracy Full duties of the job description can be found here.
