We’re looking for a proactive Assistant Operations Manager to join our growing team and help set the standard across a portfolio of prestigious residential estates. The Operations team specialises in the management and provision of soft facilities services across a portfolio of highly prestigious residential and commercial estates. Operations provides operational and line management support for the site-based teams providing high-end residential services and compliance. Location: London (Mixture of Office, Home and On-site working required) Annual Salary: £36,000 Hours/Working Pattern: Monday to Thursday, 8:30am-5pm & Friday 8:30am-4:30pm (Other hours may be required dependent on the needs of the business) What You'll Be Doing Support Leadership: Assist the Operations Manager in leading site-based teams, ensuring high standards and consistent service delivery across multiple estates. Operational Excellence: Help implement policies and procedures to maintain a 5-star approach, oversee rotas, and ensure compliance with health and safety standards. Financial Oversight: Support budget monitoring, cost control, and help achieve annual financial targets. Team Development: Assist with recruitment, training, and development of staff, conducting appraisals and fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. Client Relationships: Build strong relationships with stakeholders, handle queries and complaints professionally, and ensure service level agreements are met or exceeded. Mobilisation & Compliance: Help mobilise new sites, ensuring SOPs are implemented, equipment and systems are in place, and compliance is maintained. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, service quality, and profitability through innovative solutions and best practices. Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and contribute to monthly reports demonstrating service performance, compliance, and budget control. Problem Solving: Act as a point of escalation for operational issues and assist in resolving challenges quickly and effectively. Continuous Professional Development: Willingness to undertake an IWFM (or equivalent) qualification and further qualifications to support the practical experiences that will be gained in the role. What You'll Bring IOSH Managing Safely or similar Health & Safety qualification (required). Experience in facilities or operational management is desirable. Strong organisational, communication, and analytical skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel essential); experience with FM software is desirable. A positive, can-do attitude and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
