Role Overview

We are now seeking a part-qualified Assistant Financial Accountant to join our team. The role involves managing day-to-day financial tasks, ensuring accuracy in financial records and supporting clients with their accounting needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements and reports for review.

• Reconcile key nominal ledger accounts, including payroll, leases, fixed assets, intercompany accounts, accruals, prepayments and deferred revenue.

• Record financial transactions accurately in accounting software.

• Assist in preparing management accounts and financial reports.

• Ensure financial statements meet deadlines and compliance requirements.

• Support the year-end closing process, including final journal entries.

• Assist in processing monthly payroll.

• Communicate professionally via phone and email.

• Work with managers on special projects as needed.

Candidate Profile

Qualifications & Experience:

• Part-qualified ACA or ACCA accountant.

• At least one years of experience in an accounting role.

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.

• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication skills.

• Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite.

• Ability to work independently and use initiative.

Line Management

• The successful candidate will report on a day-to-day basis to the Financial Controller.

Job Details:

  • Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
  • Hours: 39hrs a week
  • Location: 18 Dame Street and Wicklow House, South Great Georges Street, Dublin 2, Ireland – four days onsite and one remotely
  • Salary: €36,605 per annum
  • Start date: 1st October 2026
