Architect (4+ years post Part 2) - London Application Deadline: 18 January 2026 Department: Architecture Employment Type: Permanent - Full Time Location: London, UK Description Maccreanor Lavington is a multi-award winning, design led architectural practice with offices in Rotterdam and London. We are currently looking for a talented Architect with a minimum of 4 years’ post PII experience on residential or mixed use projects, to work on the post planning stages of large scale housing projects in our London studio. You should have enthusiasm, good technical knowledge, and excellent design skills. Experience of working on large scale UK housing projects is essential, and a good knowledge of Revit/BIM is a significant advantage. Key Responsibilities The role of an architect at Maccreanor Lavington is varied and you'll gain difference experience depending on the project, sector, stage, complexity and scale, however you can expect to work collaboratively as part of a skilful team. Some of the role will include researching and developing design solutions, producing packages of information, establishing and integrating technical information and statutory requirements into drawings for planning, building control approval, tender and construction purposes. You'll attend internal meetings, client and user presentations, and depending on your area of interest, skills and expertise we will work with you to shape a career that suits your talents. Skills Knowledge and Expertise Education and Experience RIBA Part 1, 2 and 3 Architecture Degree, or equivalent Relevant experience in an Architect’s Office 4+ years post Part 2 ARB registered Previous experience of housing projects essential Personal skills Team player Ability to work under own initiative Ability to manage and appraise own working practices Highly motivated and enthusiastic Flexible with a "can do" attitude Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal Attention to detail and good problem solving skills Organisational skills Technical skills Excellent design ability and presentation skills Understanding of building technologies and environmental design and ability to employ structural theories, construction techniques and processes Knowledge of technical standards, regulatory frameworks and health and safety requirements Construction experience Design and detailing of building works Experience and knowledge of Revit Knowledge of other software including AutoCAD, Creative Suite, SketchUp, VRay, 3dsMax or Enscape is desirable (however training can be provided) Understanding of how a business operates and the factors involved in the management of an architectural project Knowledge of the professional duty of care arising from the relationships between client and architects, employer and employee.
