As an AR Specialist IV, you will manage a portfolio of high-volume and strategic accounts, ensuring accurate account maintenance and timely collections. You will collaborate across departments to resolve disputes, reconcile discrepancies, and implement effective solutions for past-due balances. This role requires initiative, sound judgment, and strong communication skills to maintain positive customer relationships while optimizing account receivable processes. You will serve as a subject matter expert, providing guidance to colleagues, analyzing financial data, and delivering actionable insights to improve collections and cash flow. The position offers opportunities to work independently, engage with clients directly, and make a tangible impact on the organization’s financial operations.

Accountabilities

·        Prepare and analyze customer statements and aging reports, identifying habitually delinquent accounts.

·        Contact customers to collect payments, offering solutions or adjustments to resolve past-due balances while maintaining relationships.

·        Investigate and resolve customer inquiries, disputes, and discrepancies with accurate documentation.

·        Conduct detailed account reconciliations for billing and cash application issues at corporate, property, or product levels.

·        Organize and lead meetings with customers to review past-due accounts and provide strategic resolution plans.

·        Collaborate with interdepartmental teams to resolve outstanding balance issues and ensure accurate reporting.

·        Maintain expertise in AR processes and provide guidance or training to junior team members.

Requirements

·        4–6 years of accounts receivable or finance-related experience.

·        Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field preferred.

·        Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.

·        Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs; proficiency with multiple financial software systems.

·        Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present to clients or internal teams.

·        Strong attention to detail, integrity, and professionalism.

·        Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
